In many cases, going to trial is not the best option for any of the parties involved. This is particularly true when the legal issue involves family members. Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution that can help parties reach an agreement and settle a legal matter without the cost, stress and time that litigation can require. The attorneys at Norelli Savage Law are highly skilled mediators who can work with parties to help them resolve disputes in the most timely and cost-effective manner possible.
Our principal attorneys Nancy Black Norelli and Donna Parker Savage are both certified Superior Court mediators. They each have a proven track record of success in mediation, helping parties achieve settlements that allow them to move forward with their lives. Because Nancy and Donna have a high level of expertise and knowledge of North Carolina law as well as empathy for the parties involved, they are often able to help the both sides reach an agreement and avoid litigation.
What Is Mediation?
Mediation is a process that parties in a lawsuit go through to attempt to agree to a solution before going to trial and having a judge or jury decide the case. During this process, a mediator such as Nancy or Donna does not represent either party. Instead, they work to facilitate an agreement as a neutral third party.
As mediators, Nancy and Donna both believe that resolution can be achieved by helping each side understand the financial, personal and business ramifications of the dispute — and what a settlement would mean for them. Their decades of experience have served them well in helping parties reach settlements.
